Agreement and eligibility
These terms govern access to CartMotive. By installing, subscribing to, or using the app, you represent that you can bind the applicable merchant business and agree to these terms. Shopify's own terms also apply to your Shopify account and Shopify-provided services.
The service
CartMotive provides tools to configure cart cross-sells, reward progress, and free-gift campaigns; publish supported theme app extensions; and review consent-permitted campaign analytics. Features and limits depend on the active Shopify billing plan.
We may improve or change the service while preserving paid access to materially equivalent functionality where reasonably possible. Preview, beta, and experimental features may change or be withdrawn.
Merchant responsibilities
- Maintain authorized access to the connected Shopify store and keep merchant account credentials secure.
- Confirm campaign prices, eligibility, discount combinations, inventory, product availability, theme placement, and storefront presentation before relying on a campaign.
- Provide legally required storefront notices and configure consent in accordance with applicable law.
- Do not misuse the service, interfere with its security, submit unlawful content, or attempt unauthorized access to another store.
Plans, billing, and cancellation
Plan prices, billing periods, trial terms, and included features are shown on Shopify's plan selection and approval pages. Shopify processes charges and invoices. Plan changes and cancellations take effect according to the terms shown by Shopify during the action.
Cancelling or losing an eligible subscription stops paid campaign delivery and plan-gated features. Saved campaign and analytics data remain available subject to the privacy policy and applicable retention periods. Uninstalling the app initiates the uninstall and deletion handling described in the privacy policy.
Availability and support
We work to keep CartMotive available and secure, but Shopify, theme, browser, network, and third-party service changes can affect operation. Maintenance, security response, or events outside our reasonable control may temporarily interrupt the service.

Intellectual property and feedback
CartMotive and its software, design, and documentation remain the property of CartMotive and its licensors. Merchants retain ownership of their campaign content and store data. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service. Feedback may be used to improve CartMotive without an obligation to compensate you.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and without warranties that campaign performance, revenue, compatibility, or uninterrupted operation is guaranteed. CartMotive analytics are operational reporting tools and are not accounting, tax, or legal advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CartMotive is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. CartMotive's aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed fees paid for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where applicable law does not permit them.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms to reflect service, legal, or security changes. The current version and effective date remain available on this page. Material changes will be communicated through a reasonable channel when required.
